Help me give my students access to technology that will increase their capacity to chronicle their learning using digital portfolios and to connect globally with other learners. The iPad is essential for IOS apps that we access daily.
As a teacher who is passionate about cultivating a classroom that fosters creativity, I need some seeds to help this harvest grow. The amazing district in which I serve utilizes every ounce of resources they have available, but the sources are scarce.
My classroom has four desktop computers, which we will put to great use.
Please help me enrich my classroom with the 21st century tools my students need. Through this project, students will gain chromebooks and 3 iPads. These resources will allow us to globally connect with other classrooms and opportunities. It also allows students to build their digital portfolios.
I am using an old iPhone and a refurbished iPad in my classroom, which I purchased with my own funds, but my students need more access to technology in order to chronicle their learning through digital portfolios. We are connected globally to students across the nation and across the globe. Using apps like Flipgrid, Seesaw, and our podcasting app, Anchor, we have forged global connections across our own state, to the Carolinas, California, Canada, and beyond. We have to pass around our technology like a hot potato, and we would love to have more tools for our journey. These tools allow students to communicate with each other, amplify their voice, discover new learning, and share their learning to home. Thank you for considering this need which will make a reach far beyond my classroom walls.
