Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
At my school, students are very driven to succeed. They are incredibly well-rounded, multi-talented, and creative. I love how excited my students get when presented with new experiences. As our band grows and students begin to realize their full potential, they become cognizant of the abundant opportunities available to them; there are many more opportunities than they imagined were possible!
At my school, we try to encourage students to always set learning as their first priority.
The teachers stay late to help students keep up and to provide enrichment for students who excel. The students love to achieve and feel successful, and the faculty on my campus is dedicated to giving them that experience. The band program at my school is where many students find pride and passion. They discover personal perseverance and individual accountability. Most importantly, when they walk into the band rehearsal, they know they are important.
My Project
Our band hall is bursting at the seams! One of the wonderful things about having a huge band is the inspired creativity in finding space to teach everyone while brainstorming way to give the best to every child no matter where they are.
We want to make sure that no matter what space we teach in, on what day, our students have access to technology to ensure we reach all kinds of learners, even our visual ones.
Having a TV mounted on a cart will allow us to roll anywhere and have a fully functional class in any situation. It is a whiteboard, projector, metronome, tuner and more...all "rolled" into one!
