This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I work for a Title 1 campus where my scholars come from low income homes. My scholars are active, eager to learn, and have a strong desire to excel. Many scholars do not have access to technology outside of school. In this era, scholars need to have access to learning about and exploring technology to better prepare them for demands of the future. They need to learn how to use the tools that they will be expected to use to be problem solvers and innovators for the 21st century.
My Project
My scholars are so excited to learn about technology and share what they have learned at school with their peers. They continually ask for more time on the computer and how the new technology works. It would be amazing to allow scholars to work on projects at home and check out the Surface GO. Over time, I hope to have a few of these in my classroom for scholars to use.
I can't wait to provide them time on a Microsoft GO that they would never otherwise have the opportunity to experience.
They have so much curiosity and love seeing other teachers work on their PRO's. It would mean so much to them if they could have the hands on experience to learn about technology and what doors it may open for them in the future.
