Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember the first time you used the computer in the classroom? I do! I remember the excitement of learning in a new way.
I have an amazing class of students.
They are able to work together, respect each other, and they all enjoy learning. They live in Las Vegas, Nevada where life can get a little fast. During the day I really like to watch them grow and enjoy learning. They attend a charter school in the heart of the city. Although, we have an amazing school, we often get overlooked for funding.
My Project
I am requesting a Samsung Tablet. We have Mimio boards that are interactive with the students. Through the tablet I would be able to connect it to our board to provide interactive lessons. I would also be able to use this tablet during independent tablet time. It would be perfect to use learning apps to help them in areas they may be struggling or to enhance their learning in a certain subject.
This project is important to our whole class.
By incorporating a tablet into our classroom, I will be able to reach every single student. It could be used for interventions as well as enrichment. Students will be able to work with me through the use of our Mimio board or work independently with it during our center time.
