Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are humble, hardworking, motivated, thoughtful and gracious despite the challenges they encounter. Our Title I school is located in Corona, Queens and consist of more than 90% low-income families who desperately need access to technology at home for their child. It is also the hub of the pandemic.

Many of our amazing families have multiple school-aged children at home sharing one smartphone to complete their remote learning assignments.

We have made a lot of academic progress over the last year and we want to ensure their success. Please, if you can spare a small donation and help spread the word, you will change a life during this ordeal and we will be eternally be grateful.

My Project

Our school is closed for the safety of our students and staff due to the COVID-19 affecting New York City! As teachers, counselors, providers, we want to continue teaching through remote learning but many of our students lack access to technology! We are asking for iPads so our students can access the lessons we are creating on Google Classroom.

We would like minimal interruption of their learning.

We have set up our Google Classroom with lessons and activities for our scholars! The next step is providing them with technology necessary to access this great remote learning too. Please help spread the word to help our deserving children.
