This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are in one of the largest school districts in the U.S. It has been severely hit by budget cuts. We have very few supplies and there is no money to be spent on updating, fixing, or getting new technology in the classrooms. Many of my students do not have computer access at home.

My second graders are bright and eager to learn.

They attend a public, span school in the second largest school district in the United States. With the shift to Common Core standards, my students must learn to be literate in technology. Using iPads in Math Centers is a great first step!

My Project

Technology is an essential tool that must be mastered in order to stay current and competitive in the workplace. My students are only in second grade, but exposure to technology is essential in the classroom. There are many great resources that can be accessed online to enhance lessons learned in math.

My students are wonderful, bright and dedicated students who deserve a chance at a successful future.

Technology is a tool that all students deserve the right to learn and utilize because it will be essential for their future careers. This iPad will bring our classroom practices into the 21st century!
