Imagine the excitement on my students' faces if given an opportunity to use an iPad mini or iPod during our phonics lessons
I have twenty-six first grade students who are very energetic, creative and eager learners.
They are always wanting to try new things. They are also like all other first graders across the world because they too enjoy electronics. We are located in the mountains of eastern Kentucky. Unfortunately, several of my students do not have access to the different types of technology out there. I would like for this to change.
My Project
I will use the iPad mini and iPod during phonics and math lessons. Students will have access to many different types of applications such as;Touch and Write Phonics, Spelling City, Math Drills, and Motion Math, just to name a few. I will use the variety of apps to help reach all types of learners. This will also allow students to have a hands on approach to learning. I will be able to project the visual onto the smart board and have classroom discussions and interactions.
My students will love the iPad mini and iPod touch.
They will have an opportunity to do hands on activities while learning about phonics and math. With the donation, we will have an opportunity to experience a new world.
