Help me give my students headphones to use when working on chrome books. My students will benefit a great deal from using headphones while working. These headphones will help my students focus on their learning.
Hi! Thank you for your consideration of my DonorsChoose.org project. I am a kindergarten teacher at a Title 1 school that services children living in poverty. Our school is 100% free and reduced lunch. Students in my classroom are a diverse population socioeconomically as well as culturally.
For most of my students, this is their first encounter with any educational system.
I strive to make my classroom a home away from home where students feel safe, secure and loved.
I am thankful for each of my students. They continue to teach me how to better serve them every day! I love my students and I am excited to introduce new technology to my these children.
My Project
I currently have five Chromebooks in my classroom for my students. I use these for both reading and math stations. Currently, my students do not have headphones. The noise from the chrome books is distracting to both students using them, and to students at other learning stations. It would be such a blessing to have my students fully engaged in their reading and math stations on their chrome books.
I will use the Leapfrog system for RTI with students.
This system includes STEM, reading, math and language components. It will be a blessing to my struggling students.
The Leapfrog book and pens will be used with all students in my guided reading station. It is one more way to reach children and make learning fun!
