Help me give my students tablets to have the ability to use technology in the classroom. We have one working desktop in my classroom for 25 students which makes it difficult for the students to practice Istation.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
How many of us are blessed with wonderful homes, food on the table, shelter? Many of our students in our community are from mostly the complete opposite. They struggle with daily life that many of us take for granted.
We, the teachers, are these children's superheroes.
Although our parents and students are wonderful, their socioeconomic status prevents many of our students from having opportunities to explore new things that could benefit them in the future.
Many take for granted what these children would kill for, such as a simple trip across town, a chair that doesn't wobble, or even classroom materials that could benefit the learned behaviors that are not so positive and turn them into a positive. The students are eager to try new things if given the opportunity. They want to grow, succeed and be challenged! They are our future, and we are their rocks!
My Project
My students are the most amazing kids from a background of opportunity. This is not the kind of opportunity involving having been blessed with amazing technology, a beautiful neighborhood and money falling from trees. No, the opportunity I am talking about is the people around them who are showing them that their lives can be different and there are other routes to chose.
My students are all unique, and ALL of them love technology and what it can do.
They do not have this at home. They are very creative when given the opportunity to use technology. They are also very capable of scoring proficient on Istation, a program that district uses to test proficiency levels of the students, if given the opportunity to use the program on tablets.
This Istation is done by lessons that are broken down into fun learning "games" or scenarios that teach the students skills they need to be successful on the tests, and lessons are aligned to Common Core standards. With 5 tablets, my kids would be able to carry out the recommended 30 minutes per student per day of math and reading more successfully than with just the one desktop computer in my class.
My students would use the five tablets in the reading center, or they could move to my desk for help as well. This would also be a great reading center for 5 kiddos at the same time to utilize for read aloud or other apps such as EPIC and Movie Maker for science activities. This would be a huge help in my classroom to help the students succeed!
