Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach 22 energetic Kindergarten students who are excited to come to school everyday! We are a public school containing students of all cultures. In our class, we are a family and we try to support each other as we learn all the academics that a Kindergarten student must learn. I have seen many of my students begin to help each other as our academics are getting more difficult for some. It's a great thing to see!

My students are already soaking up all of the learning we have begun.

I so enjoy watching them grow throughout the year. Please help us learn more by donating Chromebooks.

My Project

Today's education is a little different than back when we were in school. Children use technology daily in their lives and in education, it is so important! We are very limited in Kindergarten as to what technology is provided for our classrooms. I believe if I can offer as much technology as possible, my students will be more engaged in our lessons and will enjoy practicing newly learned skills independently.

Chromebooks are easy to set up for students and easy for them to use.

There are several resources available for student use, from researching tools to playing educational games which help them review skills without them knowing they are still learning!

Please help me make their learning relevant to them and fun!
