My Students
My students come into my classroom ready to learn and up for the challenges. Being in my classroom is a way for my students to forget the obstacles they go through on a daily basis. We are a Title I School in a low socioeconomic neighborhood. Our school qualifies for free breakfast. Most families work two or more jobs to support their family.
Most parents don't have the language to help their kids at home with homework.
The parents are willing to help, but just don't know how to help their child succeed. In addition, there are some of my students that need to stay in the after school program because their parents work long hours. This makes it harder for the parents to help their children.
My Project
With these Chromebooks, my students will be able to enhance their technology skills while researching subjects. Students will learn to gather information based on subjects taught in school. They will learn to do google slides and present their research to the classroom.
By having these Chromebooks, students will become more confident in presenting their research, while preparing them for the future careers.
Technology skills are needed now in school in order for them to learn about our world today. They will use google docs to type reports based on their research. Technology is the future for our students to become successful.
