Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds. While 100% of our students receive free lunches, I will not let that statistic define their education.

Our school is full of diversity and culture and each day I am learning something new about my students and their cultures.

Although their hardships can be at times difficult to manage, I cannot imagine putting my heart and soul into teaching anywhere else.

Although I cannot control what challenges life outside of our classroom they must face, I can ensure that I am giving my students experiences and opportunities when they are in my care.

My Project

I am requesting a document camera and game buzzers to enhance our classroom of technology. By having the document camera in our classroom, my visual learner scholars will be able to following along while instruction is going on as well as have student model their classroom work with their other peers.

Bringing technology into the classroom will open the world at my students' fingertips.

With the game buzzers, we will be able to make learning fun when reviewing for assessment or learning new content.

My scholars will have access to unlimited apps that will reinforce the state standards and allow students to go places beyond the classroom that they may not be able to experience.
