This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at a Title I school, where most of my students come from low-income families. I have five students that are English Learners, which means English is their second language. My students are eager to learn and try new things.

My Project

In our classroom, we are practicing a lot of fluency with math and reading. Students practice reading fluency every week. They read passages on the computer and record themselves. These headphones would make a huge difference since right now we only have five functioning microphone headphones. Every time a students finished using them, I have to sanitize them, let them dry, and then let another student use them, which takes time from learning. If I have a class set, it will make it so much easier to complete our fluency in a timely manner.
