This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is in the inner city. Our students are poor and from all over the world. Many of their families don't speak English, and they are here for the first time. As the health and gym teacher of our school I am responsible for teaching fitness and eating healthy, along with all the facets of a health curriculum. My students are in need of a computer to be utilized along with the projector we were fortunate enough to have funded through Donors Choose.

My Project

My students are in a need of a laptop that will aid them in researching projects and themes related to health topics. The use of a computer will enable my students to directly look up information during a health or pe lesson that relates to our discussion. Students will research topics during class as we as a group learn about social, mental and physical aspects of health and fitness . Our students will be able to find live videos that reflect the theme of our lesson that day. It is always more effective to learn through the use of technology
