Let's open these imaginations.......let's develop young authors...........let's get students producing stories and developing their creativity on a keyboard. By creating stories on the computer, they will be able to use a classroom printer to copy and print their stories.
My twenty-one first graders are curious and very creative.
Their abilities range from below grade level to above grade level. These students attend a K-2 school with over 600 students. They live in a rural area with approximately 80% of our school population receiving free/reduced lunches.
My Project
With a classroom printer, these students and others to come in the future will have an opportunity to produce stories on a computer and print them off and become authors and illustrators. Students will not only learn and practice writing skills, but also will become familiar with keyboarding and the use of how to print the documents they produce.
By donating to this project, you are giving these twenty-one students an opportunity to become classroom authors.
Students will participate in writing activities and when they have their final drafts completed,they will be able to type and print their work. Afterwords, they will become illustrators.
