I have the privilege of teaching an amazing group of first-grade students. My students are motivated and excited to learn new things. They are full of curiosity and want the freedom to explore in all the learning areas. As their teacher I want them to have all the tools they might need to succeed at their fingertips by providing a classroom that is caring, positive and innovative. My students desire to become the best versions of themselves and be lifelong learners beyond their First Grade classroom.
My class constantly is asking questions and always take their learning to the next level.
My amazing students are not your traditional students, they are so much more and I want to give them the wings to fly!
My Project
In our classroom, we already have a Maker Space and STEM area set up with materials where the students can go and create things using a variety of different materials. This does appeal to some of my students but I have found when I put out some technology they are highly engaged.
The Chromebooks will help to engage all my students who want to take their creations to a digital platform which they have not had the opportunity to do before or to extend their creations with research.
The ultimate goal is to engage ALL my students in finding ways to incorporate their learning with technology.
