This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
"At the heart of effective technology integration, technology offers opportunities to be more actively involved in the learning experience." Vanessa Vega, Edutopia Research Analyst
I teach first grade in a high-poverty, Title-1, urban elementary school.
My students are sweet, creative and eager to learn! The majority of my students do not have access to technology outside of the classroom. They love coming to school and participating in new learning activities.
My students attend an inner-city, Title-1 elementary school where approximately 98% of students receive free lunch.
My Project
My students will use the Chromebooks during literacy stations. They will listen to stories, complete comprehension activities, practice spelling, and publish their very own stories. My students will also use the Chromebooks during math stations. They will use online activities to practice telling time, measuring, sorting, place value, and more!
They can even use the Chromebooks during science and social studies to research and create their very own presentations!
By donating to my project and to my classroom, you are helping my students take an active role in their learning.
They will use these Chromebooks to enhance their reading and math skills. They will be exposed to 21st-century skills that they would never be exposed to at home.
