My Students

After teaching first grade for eleven years, I decided that I wanted to teach another grade. This year I am teaching sixth grade and I have found a new love and appreciation for eleven and twelve year olds. These students make me laugh every day. They appreciate the small things that I do for them and they show their appreciation with their eagerness to learn.

Every day is a new opportunity for my sixth graders and I to learn and grow.

I want to provide them with the tools and resources to be successful in this high-tech world. My students enjoy learning about history, STEM, and love to discover the unknown through books and technology. But really since it's my first year as a sixth grade teacher, I am doing the learning right beside them.

My Project

Technology integration is at the core of good teaching. As we prepare our twenty-first century learners for their future, we must remember that technology skills are needed in all professions.

I would love to have a variety of ways that I can integrate technology into my classroom.

. I am asking for funding for an iPad so that we can code robots, create book commercials, read digital books, record math movies and so much more! There a variety of ways we can use just one iPad in our classroom!

I want to engage my students in their learning as well as provide them with resources and tools to be a successful twenty-first century citizen.
