This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students in my class are constantly building sets for shows. We are currently in need of an upgrade to our scene shop.

My students create sets for plays and musicals on weekends.

Every Saturday you can find us on stage or in our scene shop building sets for our shows. We have built some pretty amazing sets over the years. For Noises Off! our set was 18' tall and 40' wide. It also rotated 360 degrees. Another set featured winding stair cases and intricate trim work. With funding the way it is these days, we have been using an old table saw that just isn't cutting it (pun intended). We need an upgrade!

My Project

We use laptops for productions all the time. From mixing sounds to creating sets, laptops are portable and give us the tools to create for the stage.

My students work with technology to heighten the theatrical experience and stay up to date with the latest innovations for the theater.

We use laptops as a sound mixing platform for each show we do. Every year we produce an improv show that uses two laptops for the show. One is utilized as an interactive score board and pacing guide for the performance that is then projected for the audience to see. The second laptop is used as a sound board and connected to our sound system. Both laptops are used by a student on stage that interacts with the audience while they perform.
