This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a diverse background and are always up for a challenge. They generally come from challenged home lives and enjoy coming to school to experience a safe space. They enjoy hands-on activities and problem solving together. They always come eager to learn and wanting to explore the latest technology.

They are fearless when it come to technology and they need to be prepared to use a variety of programs and tools.

This will give them to opportunity to do so!

My Project

I recently participated in a professional development that explored technology programs in a math classroom. Unfortunately, my classroom has no technology available for the students to use. One of the specific programs that is emerging is Desmos. It allows students to visualize the mathematics and bring it to life. It also allows students to work together and collaborate to get the job done.

These Chromebooks will be used to show students the wonders of different math programs and tools available to them.

It will allow them to see how technology can be used in a good way to support their math learning.
