My Students

Modeling is one of the most important aspects of learning for students. In our classroom we have a brand new document camera, but no projector. To be able to use this wonderful piece of technology we need a projector.

My students are fifth grade special education students who struggle in the area of reading and language arts.

They work very hard to overcome their struggles, and they have shown tremendous growth this year. I am proud of their hard work, and their commitment to school. They know I believe in them because I tell them everyday!

My Project

In our classroom we do activities everyday that require students to use workbooks, worksheets, etc. With a projector we would be able to use our document camera. The document camera would be used to model majority of the lessons I teach. We could use it for spelling, reading, writing, vocabulary, and much more. It would help me be able to model everything we do for my students.

It is so important for my students to be able to visualize the lessons we do in class.

Many times they get lost in a lesson and frustration takes over. For my students they need these lessons more than anything because they are already behind.
