This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember the first time you explored a piece of technology that you now use daily? Preparing students to explore, use and gain information through technology is not only important, but aligns to the newly adapted and more rigorous national standards.
My students are bright, focused and continually willing and ready for challenges.
My lessons, instruction and practice activities need adaptations for a wide range of diverse learners. I can always count on my students to love reading, writing and sharing their literary experiences.
My Project
These Nooks will not only help to enhance my student's understanding of current technology, but will also assist in providing them a variety of text at their "just right levels". Having technology that is accessible and interactive is important for student's understanding of what typical readers do. Having them use Nooks is one way to provide them with a typical experience of an everyday reader.
This will impact my students on a daily basis.
I constantly work to ensure ALL my students needs are met. Having Nooks available will assist in helping to provide each individual student with text that is at their correct reading level. It will also help to ensure students are continually motivated to learn and grow in their reading.
