This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Can you imagine trying to research your favorite state without a computer? My students will soon be lining up in the library for just a 30 minute time limit to use a computer. It will be impossible to get anything done in 30 minutes.

My students come from a low income neighborhood in California.

They attend a school that serves FREE lunch to every student due to their families low income. They are very humble and extremely enthusiastic about new things and ideas that I present to them.

My Project

Using a tablet in the classroom will be something that my kids would never forget. Most of my students come from households that don't have computers. This will allow them to research their state projects while being in the class. Being able to work at their own desk will actually motivate them to do their research.

The students will benefit from having a tablet in the classroom because it will be an instant reward for them to be able to see their research at their own desk.

Avoiding the long wait for a computer at their public library will put a smile on their face.
