Help me give my students the chance to use technology throughout the day with the addition of 7 Fire Tablets. As of right now, my students share 5 laptops amongst them all. I would use the tablets to provide more educational learning experiences for all.
For the past 5 years, I have been working with low-income poverty school districts. A couple years ago, I moved down to teaching kindergarten and absolutely love it. Even though my students face many challenges, both in and out of the classroom, they come to school ready to learn and with a smile on their face.
As a teacher, I want to provide my students with the best possible learning environment that is safe, positive, and meaningful to them.
Being only five years old, my students are very active and learn the best through hands-on experiences. I want to be able to support my students' needs the best way I can so that they will have the greatest academic success. Hopefully, by doing this project, I can meet the needs of my diverse learners, help my students grow academically, and continue having them come to school with a smile on their face and a desire to learn.
My Project
I would love if my students had more access to technology in the classroom. As of right now, my students share five laptops among a class of over 20; but even with five laptops, they are always breaking down or not working quickly. Situations like these becomes frustrating for the students and a distraction for the teacher, who has to stop and try to fix them. I want to provide more technological educational opportunities for my students so that they can continue to learn and grow. Children learn best through different facets, and this would help with one of them. With the addition of 7 Fire Tablets, I would download educational apps that would reinforce their letters, words and numbers.
