I teach in a rural area in southern Indiana. I have a very active and eager group of third grade students. They are eager to learn in many different and challenging ways. Bringing more ways to learn into the classroom will broaden their learning and bring more hands on opportunities to our classroom.
Today's youth live their lives through technology.
My students are no exception. They enjoy hands on learning and learning through computers and technology. Adding 3 Chromebooks to our classroom would enhance their learning and bring more technology to our classroom.
My Project
Today's student do not learn solely out of a textbook anymore. The use of technology in the classroom is now an everyday occurrence. The need for a classroom to be one to one is essential in this day and age. Our school allows us access to Chromebooks through a shared cart. However, having Chromebooks to use at anytime in our room would be a great benefit to all students. We currently have a set of 5 Chromebooks and it has made a world of difference in my ability to teach through technology. My hope is to eventually have a complete class set of Chromebooks to allow all my students to use them for classroom work.
