This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

ART is my passion! As an art teacher and community artist, I try to in stile the same passion for art in my students. Every week I see 700+ students in grades Pre-K -5th. Most of my students come from low income families and are only exposed to technology through the limited recourses available at school. I not only want my students to experience hands on art, but I also want them creating art through technology.

This would be the first time my students would experience art making through the use of technology.

I know that with their creativeness, and eagerness to learn, they will love this new form of creating art.

My Project

Bringing technology into the art classroom has been a top priority. My students have already experienced art through hands on projects, but I want to broaden their spectrum. In my class, we live by one phrase "Art is Everywhere, and it has No Boundaries!"

An iPad would enhance my students art skills through the use of e-portfolios, animation, art apps, and art history.

Technology is being implanted in all areas of my students lives and I want them to make a connection and experience art in digital format. This is your chance to make a difference to a group of artistic students who are eager for more.
