Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Working to mold, shape, and inspire the future leaders of the world.
My students come from an area where the odds are stacked against them yet, they continue to grow and strive for greatness. They’re known for thinking outside the box and speaking their minds.
Our love for learning has no language or cultural borders... we accept and nurture all. Located just across the border, we pride ourselves in our heritage and bicultural roots.
My Project
With technology changing the way we communicate and learn, it is only fitting for our classrooms to adapt and accommodate the 21st century learner. If we want our students to become productive members of society, we must hand them the tools needed to succeed out in today’s world.
Having an additional technological tool to assist students in their learning and explorations would enhance and facilitate many actitivies.
Goodbye to the days where students completed paper/pencil assignments... imagine a classroom where students could use Google Docs to submit, publish, and share their thinking?
Learning apps for vocabulary, basic facts, geoboards, and more? Yes, please ! These would be available to my students with the swipe of a finger.
Having an classroom iPad would get me one step closer to providing my students with a tool that many lack or crave to have.
