My students need five iPads to work on in groups. They will use the iPads to complete their projects, which include research, creating videos, completing online assignments using Desmos, and creating presentations.

My Students
My Early College Experience Statistics class is a place of challenge and discovery. Students spend this semester learning the concepts and materials of a college-level Statistics course that mirrors what is taught at University of Connecticut.
However, through technology, they can learn and experience so much more.
They are excited to explore the integration of Statistics and Technology through project-based learning and to apply what they are learning in class to the real world and their passions. Moreover, they will be able to use their new knowledge to help students who are in lower-level Statistics courses.
My Project
The five Apple iPads will be used every day in our math classes. Since this is a college-level courses, students have been given larger, real-world problems that require technology to solve.
Giving low-income students access to new technology is an investment in their future.
These iPads will allow students to tackle larger and more complex math problems, which will prepare them for their future in college and in the work force. In today's workforce, many jobs have minimum requirements for applicants to know how to use both Microsoft and Google platforms to analyze data and generate reports based upon these analyzed data sets.
