My students need updated technology such as a high powered microscope. The adapter set and projector will allow for all students to get use of it at the same time.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Help us modernize our science classroom and enrich our studies. Currently we have 5 plastic microscopes for a school population of 300 to use. Some are broken and all have limited capabilities. This equipment would allow for one high tech microscope all can benefit from through technology.
My students are such hard workers.
Many work hard at school to get great grades, despite the adversities they overcome on a daily basis outside of school. The entire school receives free breakfast and lunch. We are an urban public school, most students walk to school as they live in the neighborhood.
My Project
These resources will bring modern science equipment and other technology into our science classroom. The microscope and all the attachment pieces will allow students to view things we are studying at the microscopic level and also see other things we can not see with our eyes! The projector and document camera will help modernize our technology. Instead of crowding around one computer I can project images and clips for students.
This project is so important to our school because it will help my students become better learners and help make learning fun.
This project will also help prepare my students for middle and high school where they will be expected to use a microscope and arrive with basic knowledge of one. Without this, my students would be ill-prepared for this.
