Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My pre-kindergartners are eager and energetic students who love to learn. My students are bright, wonderful children who deserve new, safe toys and a beautiful environment for them to grow.
For many students, it is their first time in school and away from home.
Many of my students are socio-economically disadvantaged and all students in our school qualify for the free breakfast and lunch programs. My classroom is made up from students from Mexico, India, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic and numerous other places around the world. My students may come from different geographic locations, but they all are so happy to be in school. They are eager to participate in all activities. My job as an educator is to make their first experience in school a positive one.
My Project
My students need Kindle tablets in our classroom because they are extremely beneficial according to new studies. Students need the opportunity to have modern technology available at school because many children do not have access at home. Here are just some of the benefits technology in the classroom will give my students:Better Hand-eye Coordination :Through engaging applications, children develop their hand-eye coordination further. This occurs when children visually follow an object on the screen and actively participate in the activity the application presents.
Improves Language Skills: Active screen time help children develop language skills.
Many types of language development technology offer multisensory engagement, which offers speed and support to the learning process. Promotes School Readiness and Cognitive Development: Many developmentally appropriate computer programs increase a child’s readiness to learn Reading and Math. Technology may provide basic skills in which children must have competency in order to be successful in school; skills critical for children to then engage successfully in higher-order thinking and applied learning.
Please help me give my new students the best Pre-school experience I possibly can. Thank you!
