My Pre-K students are among Texas' earliest learners. They are also the youngest of our students in our school. Like many four and five year-old children, they are creative and curious thinkers with a desire to figure out how the world around them works.
Our school has been recently affected by Hurricane Harvey.
These young learners love to play and explore. Due to low income our students receive 100% free lunch and also receive assistance from the Houston Food Bank.
My Project
With these materials my pre-kindergarten students will have more choices when going to their independent centers. The Osmo kit has different activities for the students to complete. The Cricut will help us create different letters, shapes, numbers...etc. We will use this machine year round. The CD player will be used for a listening center.
My students are willing to learn and create despite all of the everyday obstacles they face.
My project is to create a safe learning environment and provide my students with technology using the iPad and the Osmo kit. We will also be able to use the iPad to create different workstation through out the classroom and for a variety of subjects.
