This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Physical Education is challenging for a lot of students. When you don't always have the proper space and equipment, it gets even more challenging. I am looking to include technology into the class, to grab the students interest, as well as something I could incorporate, no matter what space is available to us.

Students from all backgrounds, race, and ethnicity should have the same opportunity as everyone else.

My students are hoping to do the same things bigger districts are able to do, but we need the resources to do so.

Our students are hungry for structures, routines, and people who care about them. These students would be over the moon to find out that so many people cared enough to help them get the supplies they need.

My Project

Using technology is Physical Education is not a new concept for a lot of schools. In our school it would be innovative, new, and exciting for our students.

Having Fire tablets in Physical Education class opens up a whole realm of possibilities.

There are so many cool apps that can be used in Physical Education. Our students will be able to work in small groups to do some peer assessments during skill testing and stations they will be able to understand on their own by watching a quick "how to" video.

Students will also be able to keep take turns keeping track of daily attendance, which allows the students more leadership, responsibility, and a sense of ownership.

Students will be excited to participate in Physical Education, knowing that there is a cool, new element added.
