Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My student-athletes are hard working and dedicated young men who can easily be classified as overcomers. The majority of these young men have financial hardships and dysfunctional families, factors that oftentimes discourage and adversely affect many of their peers. However, they have made a commitment to their academics and their athletics to overcome their circumstances.

My Project

Using the high quality camera and various apps available on an iPad gives us the ability to film a student in an activity, drill or exercise and have the ability to give them instant feedback by replaying the video (in slow motion via various apps). This allows students the ability to see what is incorrect in their technique without having to imagine or envision what the teacher is trying to correct. This instant feedback and the ability to show students the correct way of performing an activity, drill or exercise on a split screen with themselves and a professional who is using proper form and technique is invaluable.
