Ms. Wells from Fayette MS is requesting computers & tablets through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need the Alexa tablets requested so that they are able to get hands on practice while being fulling engaged in the learning process.

The students I come in contact with are from a small town where poverty levels are high in most instances. Though some of my students are in such situations, they all can benefit from additional resources. Due to me teaching math, I am able to do many things with the subject, but my students are losing interest and focus because of the traditional way that is required. My students can’t have their cellular devices or any other technical devices on campus. We, the staff, are only provided with a projector and computer to teach our students which sometimes make it hard to reach most of them.
Keeping up with the 21st Century is sometimes hard to do when resources aren't quite available when needed. Being in the classroom trying to engage students who are use to dealing with technology becomes a tedious task in some cases. Having direct access to technology in any educational setting is a gain, but in a mathematical class is much more than just a gain.
Having the requested Alexa tablets would help my students view the skills being taught in a different way while also becoming interested and eager to learn throughout the entire process.
My students will be able to practice the different skills that are aligned with Common Core while working individually and in small cooperative learning groups. The students will be able to use the tablets to watch videos for additional assistance, check their work, and even get extra practice through other online programs. Not only will this give them access to additional help, but the tablets will also help to better T prepare them for the end of the year test.
