This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We are energetic, engaged, curious little 3 and 4 yrs old learners who love hands-on activities, reading stories and interactive learning games. We are a school in Washington DC where most of our students come from low-income families.
Although the parents might not be able to afford a lot for their children, they are engaged and involved in their children's education to the best of their abilities.
Teaching 3-year-old preschoolers is a blessing that I will never exchange/change. Witnessing their accomplishments every day is the gift that every teacher dreams of.
My Project
My students are in need of three iPads for the technology center in the classroom, small group and one-on-one instruction. 21 century integrated learning is here and I would like to provide the technology for my students to use on daily basis. These iPads will be use as part of our Center Time, as well as one-on-one instruction. They will be loaded with age appropriate applications and software that children will use to develop and expand their literacy, math, science and even social emotional skills.
These iPads will prepare our little ones for the new era of teaching and learning.
With the available software we will be able to develop the skills of collaboration, communication , creativity and critical thinking. The skills they will need to be a successful student in this fast-pace technology integration society.
