The young scholars in my classroom are eager to learn. Despite the challenges surrounding them. They love hands-on learning and technology.
My town is very supportive but with a prison system and a national forest, we don't always have the tax base to buy materials for learning.
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.
The students in my classroom are the future! They are hardworking, high energy, and creative. They deserve the absolute best!
My Project
My young scholars are hands-on learners in a technology world. The iPads, Osmo and Tiggly will allow them to explore with both technology and hands-on. Students will be able to manipulate the pieces to create words, sounds, and numbers.
In Kindergarten it is important to have a foundation in reading and math.
The iPad and learning kits will allow students to practice the skills they learned in class. The learning kits will provide a resource for students at stations/centers to independently practice with student peers.
This project will help my kindergarteners learn about technology. Technology is their future. They will be able to read on the iPads as well. This project will be used every day in our classroom. The iPads and learning kits will be instrumental in our learning environment as well as in the students lives.
