Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an inclusive group of both general education students and special education students who have a range of needs and learning styles. My students are eager second-grade learners who love school and love to engage in hands-on learning! They especially love technology and going on virtual field trips to new places. This activates their prior knowledge and lets them explore the world from our classroom.

My Project

My students are creative, clever and very enthusiastic about learning. Many students come from low-income households and have not had much experience with the world outside their small community. My students are an inclusive group of both general education students and special education students who have a range of needs and learning styles. Due to COVID, some of my students are quarantined and must meet with me remotely.

My students who are quarantined are eager second grade learners who love and miss coming to school.

They are a mixed group of students with disabilities that impact their attention, focus and ability to reach second grade standards. They often struggle to stay engaged during mini lessons, and most are performing below second grade standards. These amazing students are visual, auditory and kinesthetic learners, who learn best when lessons are presented to them through a variety of different mediums. They thrive when songs, videos, and visuals are used, and when participation is required. Now that some of my students are learning remotely, I must find a way to engage them using a virtual platform.
