This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students arrive each day with smiles on their faces, ready to do their best in class. I teach in a K-5 elementary school in an urban school district with over 800 students and a diverse population. All of the students at my school receive free lunch. Our school district has been experiencing financial difficulties for many years. However, we have great students, dedicated teachers, and administrators who work together to make our school a happy and safe environment for everyone.

My Project

My students would benefit from reliable technology in the classroom. Our computers are very old and do not work most of the time. When they do work, the websites either take a long time loading or do not load at all. I am asking for an iPad with a protective case as well as an Osmo Kit.

The iPad and Osmo would be engaging tools to use for workstations, assessments, and overall engagement in the classroom.

Educational apps will be uploaded onto the iPad and the Osmo will be an additional hands-on learning tool to use with the iPad.

My students love using technology throughout the day, but are often unable to do so because of the unreliable technology we currently have. With the iPad, case, and Osmo, my students will be engaged with technology in our classroom.
