Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a very diverse group. About half of my students are ELL students. Half of those are Hispanic and the other half are Asian. The rest are native speakers. All of them are full of energy.

My classroom has very active students.

We do a lot of activities that include movement and music. At this age, students have the need to move in order to learn better. They love music and they love to dance. They learn better by moving and singing.

My Project

The iPads will make a huge improvement in my students' learning. Children are very familiar with technology. Many of them know how to play games online and have access to technology at home. I want to make technology available to them in the classroom. They will be able to learn letters, sounds, and basic math while having fun.

English Learners will benefit greatly from having iPads in the classroom.

Many of them are still in their silent period where they won't produce any words but the iPads help them to learn letters, sounds and numbers just by listening and tracing them on the screen.
