Remember the old days when the only way for your world language teacher to know that you have mastered the new vocabulary and grammar structures is by giving you a test of some sort? Well, fret no more. With technology, students can practice and self-evaluate how much materials they have mastered!
My school is a suburban public school.
There are over 2,200 students in my school, and we have about 160 students in my program. All of my students are in grades 9-12. They are eager to learn, and they welcome the implementation of technology projects and interactive activities in the classroom.
My Project
The Chromebook computers will allow students who do not have an electronic device to participate along with everyone else in the computer or web-based activities. We also use the Chromebook computers to create multimedia projects. We also communicate with our international pen-pals through technology.
Having Chromebook computers in the class will decrease the class's dependency on the school Chromebook computer cart.
We will be able to increase frequency of conducting web-based class activities without worrying about lack of access. The Chromebook computers will also be available for students to use during lunch and after school accessibility to technology, should they need to use technology.
