My Students

John Dewey said, "If we teach today as we taught yesterday, we rob our children of tomorrow." We are living in a technology driven world. Technology is a part of our daily lives. Help my students gain experience using technology while learning to read and write!

My students love coming to school each day.

I try my best to keep them motivated and engaged. Many students receive Free or Reduced Meals and come from single parent homes. Many of the students at our school come from homes where English is not the primary language. Our school is very diverse but one thing remains the same: everyone is working together to meet the needs of the child as best as they can.

My Project

The Toshiba Thrive would be used as a learning center in my classroom. I would purchase educational apps to enhance their learning in reading/language arts and math. One to two students would be allowed at the center at one time. This will be such a motivating tool for my students! They will love the interactivity and being allowed to work with a partner while they learn and have fun!

Your donation to this project will help a child learn with technology when they may not have a chance otherwise!

It will motivate them and inspire them to continue to learn. Kindergarten is such an important time; help me make the most out of my students' first school experience!
