My Students

Our primary students are fabulous! They love to learn and love to play. Our students are energetic and enthusiastic learners that need recess materials! We are believe in teaching our students to work hard and play harder. Our students need time to break from being hard workers and dedicated to our learning. Our students are from a neighborhood in Chicago where most are living in economically challenging situations, yet they strive to overcome these challenges by maintaining positive attitudes and seeking out opportunities for growth and self-improvement. We are a "Leader in Me" school, so all of my students understand that they have to give their very best every day and are leaders in their daily lives. Many of my students are also English language learners which can be a challenge, but they do not let this stop them from learning. Our school community and neighborhood are very supportive and nurturing and each member contributes to our learning in some way.

My Project

During this unprecedented time in our history with schools being closed, it is important and essential more now than ever before my students have technology to be able to continue their learning. Our district has moved to remote learning some of my students are without technology to be able to participate. With this donation of Chromebooks my students without technology will be able to continue to engage in my videos and lessons and post assignments that they access while at home during this period of time. Thank you tremendously for your time and consideration. I know there are many schools facing similar problems so please consider helping one if not mine today.
