Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students all have challenges learning in a typical classroom. They have Autism spectrum disorder. They have challenges reading, writing, and doing math. They are also categorized as low income and therefore have challenges with supplies.

All of my students work very hard to learn new things.

They have challenges retaining any information. I strive to use different instructional methods in order to reach my students and to teach them. I ultimately want them to be comfortable in the learning environment.

My Project

My students need 2 Amazon Fire tablets and 1 HP laptop to better their learning experience in my classroom. My students enjoy listening to music and playing learning games in the computer lab. We are only at the computer lab for 30 minutes a week, which is not enough for my students. I only have 1 computer in my classroom, which my students have difficulties sharing.

Having more technology in the classroom will allow my students access to enrichment that will enhance their learning during math and reading time.

The tablets and laptop will help my students prepare for their future, which will most likely involve this type of technology.
