Help me give my students Chromebooks. Having access to technology is extremely important in an English class as students are required to write essays, do research, and save their assignments.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am the sole English teacher in a rural district. I teach our entire school from PK-12th grade, consisting of 142 students with 38 in the high school. I teach levels I-IV, journalism, and photojournalism, and am responsible for the school newspaper and yearbook.
This is my first year teaching in this district, and I am very excited to introduce you to an extremely deserving group of students.
I am impressed daily by their work ethic, curiosity and manners and can honestly say that it is a delight to be their teacher.
My Project
I have chosen to ask for help acquiring Chromebooks for my students as our district and students are still recovering from Hurricane Harvey. The ability to have a set of Chromebooks in my classroom will allow students to complete their work as most do not have access to technology at home.
In my 21 years of teaching, I am humbled to teach this group of our future leaders.
Just as every teacher have multiple preps/duties, every student is involved in multiple activities to include UIL, sports and academics. Help me to equip them with the tools to succeed.
