Help me give my students the chromebooks they so desperately need to be successful.

The world as we know it has been turned completely upside down. We had to go from our normal daily activities to distance learning over night. My students were not prepared. Many just did not have the devices or internet access at home to make the transition. Others were not familiar with the programs we needed to develop an online classroom. Our class only had 4 old desktop computers and a chromebook cart we only get to use twice a month. We must have more technology!
My fifth grade students are smart, developing young individuals who are quickly becoming young adults.
We live in a area that has a melting pot of diversity. Students come from homes that range from very low income backgrounds, military families, rural families and professionals with higher middle income.
My students fall into the highly marketable tween age group between 10 and 12. Our society treats children like mini adults in a fast paced world, they no longer rely on adults for an education. They are being raised in a technology friendly world and look to their devices for everything my generation would ask their parents or teachers for help.
My class needs more technology. We only have 4 old desk top computers and a chromebook book cart, we share with 9 other classes. We only get to use the cart once every 10 days. We need chromebooks so we can at least set up a station were students can use the chromebooks daily for a few minutes each day. 3 or more would be best since we have 30 students to divide the time between. When the quarantine struck we were so unprepared. I had no idea that so few of my students didn't have any other internet access besides school. Please help prepare my students for success.
