My Students

A typical day in my classroom runs like the Polar Express. There are surprises, magic, and trust all rolling along on an unpredictable track. My students believe in their own magic for learning new things. It's the little things that make all the difference in a classroom.

My students live in a high-poverty neighborhood with more challenges than anyone could ever know.

These young children are faced with problems that are even too overwhelming for most adults to handle. The students come from all different backgrounds, but most come from homes where there are economic struggles. They desperately want to learn and just need the tools to do so.

My Project

The printer will help my students to be able to develop health and wellness presentations and share their group work. They will also be able to assess each other on critical elements of skills, take video and pictures of themselves being successful in everyday activities. My students will be able to meet the standards of analyzing others when watching classmates on the wall.

As our world continues to rely on technology, physical education must adapt.

We no longer can simply teach team sports, we must teach the students how to use technology. This will help them continue on a lifetime of physical activity. Research shows physical activity increase test scores in the classroom. We need to get kids up and moving. Using technology will help boost their enthusiasm.
