My Students
My students learn differently than most students. We do a lot of progress monitoring on the computer, along with typing our assignments instead of hand writing. We use Kahoot.com, Quizizz IXL.com, and many other sites as a review tool for our math skills.
My students create and lead their Individual Education Plans each year by creating a power point presentation.
After these power points are created, they lead their IEP meeting by sharing their information about their individual need.
When my students have the technology available at their grasp it makes for a fun, creative learning environment.
My Project
I chose Chromebooks for my students to learn on in my classroom because our school uses Google Drive, Docs, and Slides as a tool to complete assignments. My students will also use these Chromebooks to create their power point presentation that they will use yearly for their annual Individual Education Plan meeting. The student's power point leads the meeting by the student presenting their accommodations and modifications for their individual needs to be academically successful.
Also, our school has implemented Individual Plans of Studies.
This will allow my students to have extra time to prepare for these presentations during parent/teacher conferences.
