Our students are a full spectrum with a diverse campus in race, culture, socioeconomic status and interests. Our campus serves approximately 635 students, grades 7th thru 8th and between the ages of 12 to 14. Ethnically our students are approximately 87% minorities with 45% being Latin American, 26% African American, and 13% Asian and Pacific Islander. 25% of our students are currently an English Language Learner.
My science classes are made of up of 167 8th graders that love science.
My students will be able to see the lab demonstrations and the specimens with the help of document camera and the microscope. I was able to purchase a 75 inc TV that can project very sharp images. However, I need a document camera and microscope to be able to cast my lesson on TV screen. Currently I do not have the technology need to utilize the big screen TV.
The document camera and the microscope is very much needed to deliver NGSS [Next Generation Science Standards] aligned lesson.
Once I project the image on my TV screen which is located above the board, all of my students will be able to clearly see the demos and instructional materials.
