This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students do not have many resources in life to help them find success.

My students are returning to finish High School and learn English while working on their High School Diploma.

Many are young parents that are not aware of the opportunities available to them. The school is a public charter school and our strategy is to treat our students as adults and guild them to take responsibility for their lives.

My Project

Many new jobs today rely on using technology. If students can learn the standard High School skills while gaining confidence using technology they will be more prepared for the the future. In addition, many students struggle to connect with what they are learning. Technology helps to bridge this gap.

Technology will help students prepare for jobs and give students a way to learn and understand basic skills they need.

With these calculators students will have a competitive advantage for the future.
