I work in a dual language immersion classroom with kind, intelligent excited bilingual learners.
My students are excited to learn and use technology and to become responsible digital citizens.
My students and I are part of a close knit community that aspires for students to become life long learners and global citizens.
We are preparing our students for the future; students who learn to type, communicate in online settings, and have a basic understanding of navigating and troubleshooting online problems can have a real advantage in the work force.
My Project
The use of iPads will become a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math and reading. Students will be access iPads during independent reading, math centers and use our school approved applications. Students will learn how care, store and use iPads responsibly. Students will learn how log on and trouble shoot any problems that arise. Students will become more independent and have choices in their learning and will be move around the room and choose a place to do work. I have seen how choice can positively affect my students work and demeanor and hope that the additional options to learn will help us grow even more.
